Astrid’s song “Red Umbrella” has been released on “The Trendy Eastern Hong Kong 2″, a compilation CD released Feb 2009.

Based on the euro lounge tunes / bar tunes soundscape, the 2-disc “The Trendy Eastern Hong Kong 2″ features the 6 piece retro-band Lucky Soul of London; trip hop legend Morcheeba; designated partnering songstress of Belle and Sebastian, Monica Queen; the romancing chill-out house tunes of the Brit duo Bent and The Super Lounge Orchestra.

Her composition “Heart” will be on “Bali: A Hip Island Vol. 3” compilation CD, released in May 2009.

Astrid is currently back in the studio recording with producer Kerry Galloway. Her next CD release titled “Full Life” will be out early summer!

Astrid will be performing at the Pender Harbour Jazz Festival at the Sunshine Coast Resort in Madera Park on Saturday September 19, time to be determined. www.phjazz.ca

We finished filming the “Turn me Loose” dance/art/music/film sponsored by BRAVO and The Canada Council for the Arts. We filmed it July 25-27 on location in Vancouver and finished our filming on Aug 9-10 on location in beautiful caribou country in Big Creek. The film will soon be released by BRAVO and shortly after that as a music video. Here are some pictures from the shoot!
