We finished filming the “Turn me Loose” dance/art/music/film sponsored by BRAVO and The Canada Council for the Arts. We filmed it July 25-27 on location in Vancouver and finished our filming on Aug 9-10 on location in beautiful caribou country in Big Creek. The film will soon be released by BRAVO and shortly after that as a music video. Here are some pictures from the shoot!

On February 17, from 12-2PM, Astrid will be performing at Vancouver Library Square as part of My Generation, A Festival of Power, along with hip hop group The Influents. The event features an afternoon of activity and art celebrating the role and importance of our water, and the power and jobs it produces.

Astrid has received a BRAVO Grant with her crew to do a music video/dancefilm for the song Turn Me Loose. Noam Gagnon from Holy Body Tattoo is the choreographer. This will be shot in the spring of 2007.

Astrid performed in Leanne Averbach’s video poem Carwash, screened during a special presentation of Visible Verse at the Pacific Cinematheque in Vancouver.
